Relativistic corrections to baryon magnetic moments
Description
We argue that in the nonrelativistic quark model, the only order v2/c2 corrections to the lowest order predictions for the baryon magnetic moments come from configuration mixing of the ground state with states of orbital angular momentum one. When these corrections (with several new parameters) are included, the model fits the experimental moments within the errors. We predict the Ω- moment to be -2.25+-0.09 nuclear magnetons. (orig.)
