Description of physical, chemical and thermodynamical properties for systems with component chemical interactions of different types within the frames of a cluster model
Description
The parameters characterizing the sizes of clusters of pure components and mixtures thereof in molten Fe-Ni, Ni-Si and Fe-Si systems have been calculated. The effect of concentrations on the molar volume, surface tension, partial-molar and integral system mixing heats is discussed. It is shown that the sizes of clusters of pure components are in the 1:2 ratio in the Fe-Ni and Fe-Si systems and 9:10 ratio in the Ni-Si system. The experimental and calculated data satisfactorily describe these properties
