Description
For schools, a radiation measuring instrument has been designed. It is contained in a suitcase where additionally there are a 1μCi americium 241-, a 5μCi krypton-85-, a 5μCi cobalt 60- and a 5μCi cesium 137 source, in a radion shield container. A list of possible demonstrations in the classes, including the inverse squares law, the half-life of radionuclei, and the half-thickness of shields, is given. A technical description and an electronic block diagram are added. 1 fig. (qui)
