Somatic mutation frequency induced by fission neutrons at extremely low dose level in Tradescantia
Description
Frequency of mutations induced by fission neutrons in Tradescantia was studied at absorbed doses in the range of 0 - 2.7 rad. Below a dose of 0.2 rad no linear dose - effect relationship of mutation events was noted. Possible explanations of such effect of neutrons at very low doses are discussed. 5 refs. ,2 figs., 1 tab.
