Nuclear quadrupole collective states in the fermion dynamical symmetry model
Creators
- 1. Drexel Univ., Philadelphia, PA (United States). Dept. of Physics and Atmospheric Science
Description
The complementarity of bosonic and fermionic descriptions of collective nuclear structure are discussed within the frameworks of the Interaction Boson Model (IBM) and the Fermion Dynamical Symmetry Model (FDSM). Results for the 134 Ba, 128 Xe and 196 Pt are used to illustrate the physics. (author). 22 refs., 6 figs., 2 tabs
