Optical detected spin dephasing in ionic solids
Description
Spin coherence transients in the photo-excited 3B1-state of F2+ centers in CaO were studied at low magnetic field strengths. An enhanced coherence decay rate is observed when cross-relaxation with F+ centers occurs. The results are representative for a rapid contact between a triplet spin packet and the homogeneously narrowed S = 1/2 spin reservoir. (orig.)
