Radiation-induced phase changes in Zr alloys along long-time irradiation

Description
Phase composition and structural changes are studied in irradiated alloys Zr - 2.5% Nb (Eh125) and Zr - 1.3% Sn - 1% Nb - 0.4% Fe (Eh635). The specimens are cut out of fuel channel tubes in the initial state and after irradiation for 6.3-19.3 years in RBMK-1000 and RBMK-1500 power reactors at temperatures of 290-315 deg C up to maximal damaging doses of 10.1 dpa. It is states that long-term neutron irradiation at temperatures of 290-315 deg C results in radiation-induced phase changes which are not observed in alloys Eh125 and Eh635 under ordinary thermal conditions. Specific features of these changes are mainly determined by the chemical composition and by the type of secondary phases
Abstract (Russian)
Исследовали изменения фазового состава и структуры под действием облучения в сплавах Zr - 2.5% Nb (Э125) и Zr - 1.3% Sn - 1% Nb - 0.4% Fe (Э635). Образцы вырезали из труб топливных каналов в исходном состоянии и после облучения в течение 6.3-19.3 лет в энергетических реакторах РБМК-1000 и РБМК-1500 при температурах 290-315 град С до максимальных повреждающих доз 10.1 сна. Установлено, что при длительном нейтронном облучении при температурах 290-315 град С в циркониевых сплавах Э125 и Э635 происходят радиационно-индуцированные фазовые изменения, которые в обычных термических условиях не наблюдаются.
