Far-infrared spectral observations of M42 and M17
Description
Coarse-resolution spectra of M17 and M42 between 42 and 115 μ have been obtained at aircraft altitudes. M42 has a very smooth spectrum well fitted by a 100 K gray body, while M17 shows a strong far-infrared excess beyond 70 μ
