Determination of the visual texture from a set of individual orientations

  • 1. Natsional'nyj Issledovatel'skij Yadernyj Univ. MIFI, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The method of electron microscopy is widely used at present. The orientations of individual grains have been obtained in the experiments and have been used to solve various problems: the determination of grain sizes and phases of materials, as well as the calculation of pole figures and the distribution function of grain orientations. Grain orientations for the central normal distribution have been simulated by the specialized Monte Carlo method. The results obtained for different values of the parameters characterizing the texture sharpness (analog of the variance of the central normal distribution)
