Quality assurance of control, instrumentation and reactor safety equipment
Description
Quality assurance in relation to the control and instrumentation equipment for SGHWR type reactors is discussed. The ways in which the basic philosophy of quality assurance in these areas differ from those for heavy manufacturing plant are described. The implications of the differences are reviewed and appropriate quality assurance factors in the design, manufacturing, testing and commissioning stages are highlighted. (U.K.)
