Mechanism of the 14N(dα)12C reaction and 16O states in the excitation energy range from 22 to 23.5 MeV

Description

Analysis of earlier obtained angular and energy dependences of vector analyzing power (VAC) and analogous data on cross sections of these reactions has been carried out in order to investigate mechanism of the 14N(dα)12C reaction and obtaining the 16O nucleus state spectrometric characteristics. At deuteron energy of 1.5-3.0 MeV the compound 16O nucleus acquires 22-23.5 MeV excitation energy. This is the region of excitation of giant dipole resonance and also E2 and E3 resonances. At above energies the excitation function of the 14N(dα) reaction and VAP energy denendence have a resonance structure. Experimental angular and energy VAP dependences are presented graphically along with differential cross sections. Parametrization of cross sections is performed according to the Blatt -Biedenharn formula. The obtained data on 16O nucleus states are tabulated and compared with literature data. As noted, 1- state with 22.15 MeV energy is excited practically in all reactions. In the investigated (dα) reaction some additional resonances which are not take place in the 14N(dp)15N excitation functions are observed
