Coordination compounds of titanium(IV), zirconium(IV) and hafnium(IV) with 1,3-diphenylthiourea
Description
The complexes of the types, MCl4.DPTU and MCl4.2DPTU (M=Ti, Zr or Hf, and DPTU=1,3-diphenylthiourea) have been synthesised. The infrared spectral studies suggest octahedral geometry for these complexes in which 1,3-diphenylthiourea appears to coordinate through sulphur atom of the thiocarbonyl group. (author)
