Study on π- + 12C → p + ... reaction at psub(πsup(-)) = 40 GeV/c

Description
π-12C interactions at psUb(πsup(-)) = 40 GeV/c followed by emission of at least one proton were studied. Ratios of probabilities of emission of different number of protons into the back hemisphere in the laboratory show that these processes are independent. Average characteristics of π+- mesons in these interactions turned out to be the same as in all π-12C interactions. The structure functions for protons emitted at different angles are studied including the events with different number of the protons. The structure functions are approximated by exponents
