Description
A Level-I Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) for Internal Events for the High Flux Beam Reactor (HFBR) at Brookhaven National Laboratory has recently been completed by the Department of Nuclear Energy. This paper summarizes the effort taken to identify and categorize the HFBR initiating events, and to discuss the development of event trees for accident sequence delineation
