Description
For pulsed laser diode pumped lasers, where efficiency is the most important issue, the choice of the Nd laser material makes a significant difference. To compare the various Nd laser materials, the absorption efficiency, the storage efficiency, and the extraction efficiency are calculated for six different Nd laser materials. Laser materials are then compared under the assumption of equal quantum efficiency and damage threshold
