Description

This paper discusses a pair of sharp Cu NQR signals and a broad Cu NQR signal, which correspond to the Cu1 and Cu2 sites respectively, and were observed in high-Tc Pb cuprate Pb2Sr2Y0.5Ca0.5Cu3O8+y. The spin lattice relaxation times, T1, of Pb and both Cu sites decrease rapidly with decreasing temperature without enhancement just below Tc. The Knight shift (+0.28% in the normal state) of the Pb NMR signal also decreases with decreasing temperature in the superconducting state
