The effect of induced weak interactions on the forbidden beta decay of 76As

Description
Using the asymmetric rotor model with admixture of two quasiparticles in the decoupling scheme, extended to include also strong coupling, the wave functions of the states involved in the beta decay of the transitional nucleus 76As were calculated. A good fit to the experimental data was obtained for both absolute and relative beta-decay observables. The pseudoscalar interaction appears to be completely negligible in both formfactor coefficients and in beta-decay observables.(authors)
