Power generating nuclear reactor equipped with hydrogen production mechanism
Description
The power generating nuclear reactor of the present invention produces hydrogen by effectively utilizing energy generated from the reactor. Namely, a surrounding vessel surrounds the circumference of a reactor core to store a catalyst comprising a semiconductor which carries platinum elements and/or a suspension formed by suspending platinum elements in water. A stirring means keeps the suspension state of the catalyst or the platinum elements. Gases generated from the vessel is captured by a capturing means. Hydrogen is separated from the gas captured in the means. The thus constituted device can decompose water by the energy of gamma-rays generated from the reactor to produce hydrogen, and, at the same time, prevent leakage of the gamma-rays. (I.S.)
