Description
Distribution ratios (Kd) of Pu(IV) have been obtained on H+, Na+ and K+ forms of Bio Rex 63, a phosphonic acid exchanger, as a function of acidity for a constant contact time of four hours. Kinetic measurements of Pu4+ uptake have been carried out from 0.5 M HNO3. The Kd vs time data have been converted to fractional attainment of equilibrium and using this data, kinetics and exchange mechanism have been evolved. (author)
