These short articles give some information about nuclear energy throughout the world. Among other topics, the status of nuclear energy in India is described. India disposes of 10 reactors which produce 2000 MWe, 2 reactors (BWR - Tarapur) were realized by General Electric while 8 others are from Canadian technology (PHWR). According to state authorities, nuclear energy represents 2% of the national electricity production. ANDRA (French national agency for the management of radioactive wastes) has published a document that outlines the different stages of the Bure project. This project plans to build an underground facility to study waste storage. An article briefly describes the project and gives the main chronological steps. Swiss authorities have organized a public information operation around the preparation and the realization of a spent fuel transport to La Hague installations. (A.C.)
