Process for denitration of aqueous nitric acid waste solutions containing salts
Description
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the acid and nitrate content of nitric acid waste solutions as much as possible and to reduce the total salt content of the waste solution, without having to worry about strong reactions or an increase in the volume of the waste solution. The invention should also make a precipitation stage for actinides, for example, or other materials, following the denitration, easier. This is achieved by mixing the waste solution with ethyl alcohol at room temperature and heating the mixture to at least 800C. (orig./HP)

Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, den Saeure- und Nitratgehalt von salpetersauren Abfall-Loesungen weitgehendst zu reduzieren und den Gesamtsalzgehalt der Abfall-Loesung zu verringern, ohne dass heftige Reaktionen oder eine Vergroesserung des Volumens der Abfall-Loesung befuerchtet werden muss. Die Erfindung soll ausserdem einen an die Denitrierung anschliessenden Faellungsschritt fuer beispielsweise Aktiniden oder andere geloeste Stoffe erleichtern. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass die Abfall-Loesung bei Raumtemperatur mit Ethylalkohol vermischt und die Mischung auf mindestens 800C erwaermt wird. (orig./HP)Additional details
