Exchange current contributions in the π d elastic reaction

Description

The contribution of pion exchange currents to the elastic πd scattering in the δ (1232) region is calculated, using Feynmann graphs. Preliminary results show that adding exchange currents to the simple and double scattering terms a better agreement with experimental data is obtained. (Author)

Abstract (Portuguese)

Calcula-se, usando graficos de Feynmann, a contribuicao de correntes de troca de pions ao espalhamento elastico πd na regiao da ressonancia δ (1232). Resultados preliminares mostram que a adicao de correntes de troca aos termos de espalhamento simples e duplo melhoram o acordo com os dados experimentais. (Autor)
