Price of Electric Energy Production in Power Plants

An investor intending to construct a new electric power plants has to be informed about the orientation price of a single kWh from such plant. Such an information is necessary for the competitiveness appraisal at the market of similar or different energy kinds. This matter is to be elaborated and discussed in detail before the final decision, in order to satisfy electric energy demands with minimum investment and other costs. The production price of one kilo-watt-hour depends on the plant type, construction, maintenance and fuel costs, annual operating time, etc. In view of plant type, all these factors influence more or less the production price. These factors were analysed for different types of electric power plants and are shown in the article with their present values at the world market of energy and power. (author)
