A new possibility to increase the knowledge about radiation protection
- 1. Orszagos Onkologiai Intezet, Budapest (Hungary)
Description
The knowledge about the effect of low doses on human organism can be significantly widened by evaluating the experiences which have been accumulated during the brachitherapeutic treatment of tumours. According to calculations on the integral doses, patients treated with sup(226)Ra to destroy the cancerous cells are unavoidably irradiated by low doses as well. Thus new information can be collected about the dose-response relationships in the range of low doses evaluating the case-sheets. (V.N.)
