Gas medium effect on the optical density of transparent beryllium ceramics

Description
Conditions for reducing absorption of beryllium ceramics in a wide spectral range, especially in UV range of the spectrum, have been ascertained. It is shown that for the purpose thermal treatment in CO reducing environment or in hydrogen at temperatures exceeding 1700 K for several hours is required
