Anomaly in the optical potential for deformed nuclei
Creators
- 1. Kyoto Univ., Japan
Description
Elastic scattering of 65 MeV polarized protons from rare earth nuclei has been measured. The volume integral of the real central part of the optical potential (J/sub R/) and the volume integral of the spin orbit part of the potential (J/sub 1s/) show anomalous behaviors for these deformed nuclei. 3 references, 6 figures
