Large flywheel generator system for nuclear fusion

Description
Three units of large flywheel generator systems for nuclear fusion have been successively completed at the factory and are now under installation at their respective sites: the 250-MVA unit for Gamma-10 of Tsukuba University, the 500-MVA unit for JT-60 poloidal field power supply system of Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, and the 525-MVA unit for Doublet III of General Atomic Co. The specifications and the design features of flywheel generators, specially of these units, ara described here. (author)
