Description

The magnetization at high magnetic field and the ac and dc magnetic susceptibility of NdNi2Ge2, NdRu2Ge2 and PrFe2Ge2 polycrystalline samples have been measured. The magnetization curves of NdNi2Ge2 below TN = 25 K have a metamagnetic character. A strong decrease in the Neel temperature with increasing magnetic field is observed. The NdRu2Ge2 and PrFe2Ge2 compounds have two phase transitions. In NdRu2Ge2 with increasing temperature ferro-, antiferro- and paramagnetic phases are observed. In the antiferromagnetic region the magnetization curves have a metamagnetic character. The PrFe2Ge2 compound shows two antiferromagnetic phases with increasing temperature. The magnetization curves have a complex character. Two phase transitions are observed at magnetic fields of ≅ 1 and ≅ 10 kOe (at T = 4.2 K)
