Estimating the mineral content of the peripheral skeleton in normals in their 2nd to 7th decade of life by means of 125I photon absorption
Description
Normal values for the mineral content of the radius, ulna and phalanges were determined in 138 normal persons between the ages of 15 and 70 years, using 125I photon absorption measurements. The radius proved the most suitable bone because of the low deviation from the mean. Differences between our findings and normal values in the U.S.A. are discussed. (orig.)

Mit der 125J-Photonenabsorptionsmessung wurden an 138 gesunden Personen zwischen 15 und 70 Jahren Normalwerte fuer den Mineralgehalt von Radius, Ulna und Fingerknochen erstellt. Der Radius erwies sich dabei wegen der geringsten Standardabweichungen als guenstigster Messort. Unterschiede zwischen unseren Befunden und den Normalwerten aus USA werden diskutiert. (orig.)
