Gamma albedo for a point isotropic source

Description
Albedo characteristics for a point isotropic gamma source located on the surface of different materials have been calculated. The calculations were performed by the Monte Carlo method for initial gamma energies E0=0.66; 1.25; 1.8 and 2.76 MeV and reflectors from water, boron carbide, serpentinite concrete and ironserpentinite concerete. The reflector thickness were chosen as 0.25; 0.5; 0.75; 1.25; 1.5 and 2.5 mean free paths. The photoeffect, Compton scattering and pair production were taken into consideration in the calculations. The data obtained on the diifferential spectral albedo for different materials, the dependence of the integral numerical albedo on the gamma scattering angle, and on the dependence of the differential numerical albedo on the reflector density are presented
