Influence of various parameters on the elaboration of superconducting oxides

Description
Several oxides able to give rise to a high Tc superconductivity have been studied. Samples were prepared in both series: La(Ba2-xLax) Cu3O7+y and YBa2 (Cu3-xAgx)O7-y. The evolution of the resistance versus the composition has been studied on sintered samples. The results assess the importance of the experimental conditions of the synthesis. In the system La(Ba2-xLax)Cu3O7+y our results complete the work of Segre et al. and precise composition at which the superconductivity transition disappear for the profit of the semiconductive behaviour. The samples YBa2(Cu3-xAgx)O7-y has for x = 0 electrical properties very dependent of the thermal treatment. Some characteristic data are shown. The partial substitution of Cu by Ag for x ≥ 1 enables to keep the superconducting behaviour
Abstract (French)
Quelques oxydes susceptibles de presenter la supraconductivite a temperature critique elevee ont ete etudies. En particulier, des echantillons ont ete prepares dans deux series: La(Ba2-xLax)Cu3O7+y et YBa2(Cu3-xAgx)O7-y. La variation de la resistance electrique en fonction de la composition a ete etudiee sur des pastilles frittees. Les resultats obtenus mettent en evidence l'importance des conditions experimentales de synthese. Dans le systeme La(Ba2-xLax)Cu3O7+y nos resultats completent le travail de Segre et al., en precisant la composition pour laquelle la transition supraconductrice disparait au profit du comportement semiconducteur. Les echantillons de composition YBa2(Cu3-xAgx)O7-y presentent, pour x = 0, un comportement electrique etroitement dependant du traitement thermique. Quelques courbes caracteristiques sont donnees. La substitution partielle du cuivre par l'argent pour x ≥ 1 permet de conserver le caractere supraconducteurAdditional details
