Doubling of a number of gauge fields due to torsion in the Kaluza-Klein theory
Description
Torsion in the Kaluza - Klein theory is considered. It is shown that part of torsion tensor components can be identified with components of gauge fields different from metric gauge fields of the Kaluza - Klein theory, and another part - with strain tensor of the gauge fields. The gauge fields thus introduced acquire the mass of geometric origin. It is shown that torsion in the internal space permits to obtain any preset mass of fermions in the Kaluza - Klein theory
