Description
U-Pu-Zr alloy fuel is reprocessed by using pyrochemical method involving molten salt electro refining of the alloy using LiCl-KCl eutectic melt at 773 K. U, Pu and minor actinides are electrodeposited at two different cathodes namely, solid steel and liquid cadmium respectively. The present work describes the non-destructive assay of 239Pu, 238U and 241Am in Cd matrix by gamma-ray spectrometry using HPGe detector
