Description
The control of the physical characteristics of the uranium oxide is of great relevance in the fabrication of nuclear fuel. Various workers have studied the influence of the precipitation conditions on the physical properties of the precursor ammonium diuranate and subsequently of the oxide obtained there from. An attempt has been made here to modify the particle size of the ammonium diuranate by the presence of nonaqueous water miscible solvents during the conventional and homogeneous methods of precipitation.
