Diagnostic value of phase analysis in coronary arterial disease (CAD)

  • 1. First Affiliated Hospital, Shanxi Medical Coll., Taiyuan (China)

Description

Forty-nine patients with CAD, twenty-three patients with OMI and eighteen normal subjects were studies by the multigated equilibrium radionuclide angiography and Fourier functional image. The results were as follow: The phase angle values were significantly different between the normal control group and OMI group and CAD group (p<0.01). The diagnostic sensitivity of it was 70.8%, 88% in group I, II of CAD respectively. It was superior to the phase image and amplitude image. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of diagnosing An by the local phase analysis was 100%, 95.8% and 96.7% respectively. It is considered: (1) The phase angle has a highly sensitivity in reflecting the myocardial compliance and contractile synchrony, which can make a early diagnosis of CAD associated with the amplitude image. (2) diagnosing An patients by the phase analysis is of very high sensitivity and specificity
