Simulation calculation for the δ ray effect in particle identification via CCT

Description

By simulation calculation, the δ ray effect in particle identification via Cherenkov Correlated Timing (CCT) is discussed in detail. The interference from δ ray created by particle passing quartz is pointed out. It is proposed that a constant-ratio threshold in the particle ID via CCT is a possible way to diminish this interfered effect
