VRR-444 input relay register in the CAMAC standard

  • 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)

Description

An input relay register VRR-444 is described, which is based on the CAMAC standard. The device is intended to receive 48 communications in the form of potential signals coming through the contacts of the disconnector of the front panel and to transmit these signals to the crate trunk. The device is made as a double-width block, on the front panel of which a 50- contact disconnector is mounted, as well as a radio-frequency disconnector to send in demand signals and a lamp inducing a trigger state. The use of the relay ensures a complete electrical insulation of signal sources from the crate, as well as the noise-resistance of the transmission line. This makes it possible to utilize the unit for sending the signals through cable lines running in the zone of influence of fields of force. The unit is designed to provide communication between the computer and the control panel by slowly extracting the beam from the JINR synchrophasotron
