Morphology of rhenium metal dispersed on high area oxides
Description
In this paper we present and discuss measurements of magnetic susceptibility, made at temperatures below the superconducting transition of rhenium, on samples made by dispersing rhenium in porous high area oxides by typical catalyst preparative techniques. These measurements show that a significant fraction of the rhenium in these samples is in the form of extensive networks, probably consisting of thin films, which are continuous over distances of the order of 25 μ or more.
