Extraction of metals with crown-compounds and organic acids anions

  • 1. Kievskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Kiev (Ukrainian SSR)

Description

Ternary complexes consisting of metal ion, crown-compound and organic anion are studied from the viewpoint of their use in analytical chemistry. Constants of complex extraction of Cs+, Sr2+ and other metals with dibenzo-18-crown-6, 18-crown-6, 15-crown-5, acyclic polyethyleneglycols and anions of halogencarbonic acids at the temperature of 290 K are considered. It is shown that the value of extraction constant for acyclic polyesters is in a stronger dependence on diluent, than the value of extraction constant for macrocyclic crown-esters. The best diluents are: CHCl3, CH2Cl2, C6H5NO2. Geometry of crown-molecule, electronic structure of metal and the character of counter-ion also affect the extraction process. 3 refs.; 4 tabs
