Minijets: elastic scattering, inelastic production and the real part of the forward amplitude

Description
The presence of minijets, theoretically predicted in the framework of QCD and experimentally measured by the UA1 collaboration, may explain the observed changes in the differential elastic cross-section from ISR to pp collider energies, the new trends in multiparticle production and the continuous increase of ρ, the ratio of the real part over the imaginary part of the elastic amplitude in the forward direction
