ANSALT II. A programme system to calculate three-dimensional, thermomechanically coupled, nonlinear targets within the framework of waste disposal in salt domes. Final report
Description
The ANSALT II programme system was developed for three-dimensional calculation of nonlinear thermomechanical processes during disposal of radioactive, heat developing wastes in large salt rock structures of up to one million degrees of freedom. To achieve the necessary calculation efficiency, problem adequate, explicit calculation techniques were implemented which are especially appropriate for the calculation of large systems, and, due to their element-oriented mode of operation, permit the use of advanced computer technology possibilities. In order to realistically record the interaction between the mechanical and thermal behaviour of salt rock structures, a thermomechanical coupling was provided on a time-step level. (orig./HP)

Das Programmsystem ANSALT II wurde entwickelt zur raeumlichen Berechnung der nichtlinearen thermomechanischen Vorgaenge bei der Endlagerung von waermeentwickelnden radioaktiven Abfallstoffen in grossraeumigen Salzgesteinstrukturen mit bis zu einer Million Freiheitsgraden. Zur Erzielung der notwendigen Recheneffizienz werden problemadaequate explizite Rechentechniken implementiert, die besonders zur Berechnung grosser Systeme geeignet sind und auf Grund ihrer elementorientierten Arbeitsweise in besonderem Masse von den Moeglichkeiten moderner Rechnertechnologie Gebrauch zu machen erlauben. Zur wirklichkeitsnahen Erfassung der Wechselwirkung zwischen dem mechanischen und thermischen Verhalten von Salzgesteinstrukturen wurde auf Zeitschrittebene eine thermomechanische Kopplung bereitgestellt.
