Estimation of fuel amount in the compartment 305/2 located under reactor core of the Chernobyl NPP 4-th unit
Creators
Description
The results of visual observations as well as those of television and photographic monitoring of the compartment 305/2 located under disrupted reactor core of the Chernobyl NPP fourth unit are discussed in connection with the data of chemical analysis of samples and the results of measuring gamma radiation dose rates realized during drilling. A set of images for the compartment profile cross sections at sufficiently small distances (2 m) is compiled basing on these data, and detail model of the main elements mutual positions in the disrupted reactor core space is developed, as well. The ultimate conservative estimation of fuel minimum amount in the compartment 305/2 being equal to 60 t is made
