Method of processing radioactive wastes
Description
Purpose: To easily process later regenerated liquid wastes and solid materials by enclosing liquid wastes containing ion-exchange regenerative liquid wastes into granular or powder substances such as ion-exchange resin or the like. Method: The liquid wastes containing ion-exchange resin regenerative liquid wastes as radioactive effluents and the granular of powder substances having a number of fine pores opened on the particle surfaces, are mixed and dried to enclose the solid content in the liquid wastes within the granular of powder substances. In this manner, the ion-exchange resin regenerative liquid wastes can be easily processed. When spent ion-exchange resins as the atomic wastes for granular or powder substances are particularly used, two types of radioactive wastes are integrated to simplify the processing. (Yoshihara, H.)
