Searches for the new short-lived particles using photographic emulsion
Description
An account is given of hybrid emulsion experiments which have been used to study the properties of the recently discovered charmed particles. The merits of similar experiments using the high spatial resolution of emulsions to observe directly possibly even shorter lived particles are discussed and compared with those of feasible alternatives.
