INEX 1: an international nuclear emergency exercise
Description
This report deals with the first Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) International off-site emergency Exercise (INEX 1) that has been organised and staged following the accidents of Three Mile Islands and Chernobyl. This review more precisely presents a brief history of the events leading up to INEX 1; it then describes the exercise in detail and analyses the results, the experiences and the lessons learnt from it. Recommendations for future work in the field of international exercise are finally provided. (TEC). figs., refs., tabs
