Description

Previous work by the authors has shown that the Centaurus cluster (α = 12sup(h) 47 delta = -410) is composed of two velocity components, Cen30 (mean velocity 3000 km s-1) and Cen45 (mean velocity 4500 km s-1), which very probably lie within one cluster. In this paper the internal structure of the cluster is described and the spatial and velocity distributions of the different galaxy types within the cluster are discussed. (author)
