On convective fluctuations in a three-component plasma in a curved magnetic field

Description

The present paper establishes the possibility of nonlinear convective waves in a three-component plasma in a curved magnetic field, suggests reduced equations appropriate for a description of such waves and predicts a stationary spectrum of flute fluctuations, as well as the possibility of critical fluctuations. The existence of a nonlinear mechanism generating large-scale electrostatic fields in the form of a double cascade of waves is demonstrated. 18 refs
