Description

Crystals of [Cd(HL)(o-phen)] · H2O, presenting tetragonal colourless plates, were grown by slow evaporation at room temperature of the mixture of aqueous solutions of Cd(CH3COO)2 · 3H2O, o-phenanthroline (o-phen) and thiosemicarbazidediacetic acid (H3L), taken in molar ratio 1:1:1. The crystals belong to triclinic crystal system with unit cell parameters as follows: a = 13.301, b = 10.023, c = 7.604 A, α = 110.61, β = 89.05, γ = 99.78 deg, sp. gr. P1, Z = 2, d = 1.79 g/cm3. The structure consists of neutral complexes [Cd(HL)(o-phen)] and crystallization molecule of water. Cd atom has hexad coordination
