Waste management: a new concept for the packaging and disposal of intermediate level waste
Description
A feasibility study has shown that the use of returnable shielded overpacks for the transport and disposal of intermediate level wastes is cost effective with reduced radiation dosage. The design for a returnable overpack is discussed. A purpose built ship would be used for sea disposal. (author)
