In-situ rehabilitation of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils. Final report. Vol. 1

Description

The study presented here was performed on the abandoned site of a gas works of the city of Karlsruhe. A survey of microbe populations showed that PAH degrading microorganisms were present at the site. Hypoxic conditions and low bioavailability of the contaminants proved to be the decisive limiting factors. Tensides were used to optimise the process. (EF)

Abstract (German)

(EF)
